Project

Chep, the global leader in sustainably moving goods, instructed Flexible Business Interiors to transform its UKI headquarters on Village Way in Trafford Park.

The extensive refurbishment project, which completed in February 2023, was delivered in a phased approach over six months and saw the creation of a dynamic, collaborative workspace that now offers Chep’s 400-strong Manchester-based workforce a variety of work settings including traditional desk areas, informal breakout spaces and closed booths for focused activities. In addition, soundproofed video conferencing pods have been installed and a suite of meeting rooms alongside a small café, staff kitchen and new WC’s.

The blue colour palette, inspired by Chep’s corporate colours, was used throughout the office to create a cohesive interior while wall illustrations were added to reflect the location and to bring the outside in.

The completion of this project marks the 3rd successful commission by Chep over the past 5 years and FBI is hugely grateful for the repeat business.

“Working with FBI is always a positive experience as they bring a wealth of knowledge, as well as a talented roster of subcontractors. Since the pandemic we realised that our office environment needed updating to ensure staff were motivated to work onsite, as well as providing them with a range of settings more suited to modern working styles. The new space has been live for a few weeks now and we have seen an increase in team members wanting to spend more time in the office, and utilising the new feature areas such as the video conferencing booths and open collaboration spaces. There is a real buzz about the place and we look forward to this continuing.”
