FBI Starts at Horton House Amid Investment Drive

Horton House, the grade II listed landmark office address at Liverpool’s Exchange Flags, is undergoing a significant refurbishment programme thanks to investment from its owner, Ashtrom Properties.

The project, which is being delivered by FBI and was designed by Incognito, includes the creation of a new business lounge environment alongside a transformed reception area on the ground floor. Bookable meeting rooms and space for a coffee operator will add to the onsite amenities offered to tenants.

In keeping with the elegance of the original architecture, the interior scheme has been matched by a stylish refurbishment featuring a bespoke walnut reception desk, a modern lighting scheme and a blue colour palette which has been implemented to reflect the sites history and the Battle of the Atlantic.

Due for completion in June, this first development phase is set to be followed by second stage of works that will comprise improvements to the office suites on the first floor and the installation of a cycle hub in the basement.

Stephen Clarke, director at Flexible Business Interiors, said: “Exchange Flags offers some of the highest quality Grade A office accommodation in Liverpool city centre and this first stage of works at Horton House will ensure that its occupiers have access to the very best amenities as well. Tenant focused spaces are becoming increasingly popular in multi-let office buildings, and this will be one of the finest thanks to a great design and skilled workmanship.”

Guy Lewinsohn, CEO at Ashtrom Properties UK, added: “These initial works at Horton House mark the beginning of an exciting period of investment at Exchange Flags and reflect our ongoing commitment to Liverpool. Our aim is to provide exceptional office accommodation complemented by hospitality led community spaces that offer tenants a variety of additional spaces in which to work independently, collaborate with colleagues or clients and take breaks when needed.

“The professional team looking after Horton House are making great strides and we look forward to seeing the end result.”
