Contract Period:

8 weeks

Value:

£350,000

Flexible Business Interiors (FBI) has delivered a CAT A+ fit-out at The Hive, Manchester, for Grosvenor, creating two high-spec plug and play office spaces on the 6th floor. The eight-week project, managed by Savills, transformed 5,700 sq ft of space into modern, flexible workspaces designed to meet the needs of today’s businesses.

The design, by Bluesky, incorporated bespoke furniture and functional layouts to create two separate office suites, ideal for immediate occupation. The project was particularly noteworthy for the building’s sustainability features, including a natural ventilation system that replaces traditional air conditioning, and a concrete structure used for heating and cooling, which enhances energy efficiency.

The success of the 6th-floor fit-out led to further work for FBI, with a second CAT A+ fit-out commissioned for a smaller suite on the 4th floor. This replication ensures the consistency of design across the building while catering to varying tenant needs.

Ottillie Heyes at Savills said:

“We are extremely pleased with the high-quality fit-out at The Hive. Led by Flexible Business Interiors and BlueSky Design, the new flexible office spaces align with the building’s unique sustainability features while providing both functionality and appeal.”

Ed Curwen, Project Manager at FBI, added:

“The Hive project was a great example of how sustainable design can be integrated with high-quality workspaces. The unique features of the building, combined with our flexible fit-out solutions, created an excellent environment for future tenants. We’re proud to have been entrusted with replicating this design on the 4th floor.”
