Flexible Business Interiors played a key role in transforming St Paul’s House, a grade two-listed building overlooking Park Square in Leeds, into premium grade A office space. Originally built in 1878 as a warehouse and cloth-cutting works for Sir John Barran, the refurbishment carefully balanced the building’s historic character with the demands of modern occupiers.

Working closely with the project team—including In4m, Incognito and Smith Consult — we delivered high-quality fit-out works across the reception, office suites, and end-of-journey facilities. The project included club-class showers, changing areas with heated lockers, secure cycle storage, and tailor-made plug-and-play office suites, all designed to meet the expectations of today’s tenants.

The result is a striking, contemporary working environment that blends historic charm with modern functionality. Occupiers now enjoy high-specification office space, enhanced amenities supporting sustainable commuting, and a prime location with stunning views over Park Square. The project demonstrates Flexible Business Interiors’ expertise in delivering fit-out solutions that respect heritage while creating highly desirable, ready-to-occupy workplaces.

“St Paul’s House was a complex project, balancing the refurbishment of a historic building with the creation of modern, grade A office space. Our team focused on delivering high-quality fit-out solutions that respect the building’s heritage while meeting the needs of today’s occupiers. Seeing the finished spaces, with their contemporary amenities and plug-and-play suites, is a real testament to the collaboration and craftsmanship involved.”
