Horton House CS 2

Instructed by Ashtrom Properties in 2022, Flexible Business Interiors led the transformation of the Grade II listed Horton House in Liverpool over a six-month period.

With stellar tenants including Brabners LLP and Capgemini, the refurbishment project required a closely managed phased build approach in order to minimise disruption, and a high-quality supply chain capable of delivering this striking scheme.

Bursting with elegant, original 1940’s architecture, the ground floor of Horton House was reimagined by interior design studio Incognito, and works included the creation of a new reception area and business lounge as well as bookable meeting rooms and a café.

The sophisticated arrival space now features a bespoke walnut reception desk and blue colour palette inspired by the site’s history and formal meeting spaces have been installed through the addition of crittle glazed partitions and brought to life with sleek, timeless furniture and a variety of planting. A new on-site café provides a vibrant heart space for occupiers and visitors to enjoy.

Guy Lewinsohn, CEO at Ashtrom Properties UK, added: “Our vision for Horton House was to go a step further than just providing exceptional office accommodation, we wanted our tenants to have the option to venture out of their private space and make use of a range of high-quality, hospitality led shared areas. Bringing people together in this way can be hugely valuable for productivity, collaboration and mental wellbeing, and goes a long way to creating that much sought after community feel.
