Instructed by leading investment company Abrdn, Flexible Business Interiors has delivered the fit-out and furnishing of a 2,500 sq ft plug and play office space on the 8th floor of 1 Marsden Street, Manchester. Working alongside contract administrator JLL and designers Bluesky, the project was delivered in just eight weeks.
Designed to offer a high-quality, ready-to-use workspace, the office features 22 workstations, two meeting rooms, and two flexible collaboration areas, enhanced by feature ceiling rafts and bespoke joinery booth seating in the breakout space. The modern, functional design quickly attracted interest, with the office being let within just a few weeks of completion.
The central city location presented logistical challenges, with narrow roads and ongoing construction works requiring careful coordination of deliveries and waste disposal. Having previously refurbished the building’s common areas, including lift lobbies and toilets, FBI’s familiarity with the site helped streamline the process and ensure a smooth delivery.
Following the success of the 8th-floor scheme, Flexible Business Interiors has now been commissioned to replicate the design on the 10th floor.
George Curwen, Project Director at FBI, commented:
“This project was a fantastic example of how a well-designed plug and play space can drive rapid tenant interest. Despite the logistical challenges, our team worked efficiently to deliver a high-quality, future-ready workspace, and we are delighted to have been reappointed for further works in the building.”
FBI continues to deliver innovative office spaces that combine style, functionality, and efficiency, ensuring long-term value for landlords and tenants alike.
