86 Deansgate Gets Fresh New Look
A comprehensive refurbishment at 86 Deansgate, now rebranded as The Apiary, in Manchester city centre has completed.
Appointed by the building owner Zenith Real Estate Partners, the 12-week programme was delivered earlier this year in partnership with design studio Incognito and Bloc Building Consultancy.
The extensive works included a complete redesign and fit-out of the building’s reception area, the creation of a premium wellness and fitness facility in the basement (2,225 sq ft), and a newly fitted plug-and-play office suite on the second floor (4,000 sq ft), which also included new washrooms and fitted furniture.
The basement, which has been completely transformed from underused car park into a high-end wellness suite is directly connected to the main lobby for ease of access. It includes a fully equipped gym with Technogym kit, cardio and resistance machines, free weights and a sled track, as well as a separate fitness studio for classes. Occupiers also benefit from luxury changing and shower facilities, and tranquil internal gardens, offering a calm and inviting environment that promotes health and wellbeing.
The second-floor plug and play suite is now a turnkey solution for prospective tenants, with flexible open-plan workspace, collaborative areas, and breakout zones, all furnished and ready for immediate use.
Gal Nadir at Zenith Real Estate Partners, the building owner, commented: “Creating high-quality spaces that re-positions the property to meet the needs of modern occupiers was our key objective at The Apiary. The combined efforts of Flexible Business Interiors, Incognito and Bloc have delivered a result that not only looks fantastic but adds real long-term value to the building. We’re delighted with the outcome.”
George Curwen at Flexible Business Interiors, added: “This was a truly multi-faceted project, requiring a high level of coordination and attention to detail. From the reception through to the gym and office suite, every space has been designed and built with the end user in mind. We’re proud to have played a part in transforming The Apiary into one of Manchester’s most attractive workplace destinations.”
